Pavlo and Band Orlando Concert reviews
Buddy Guy is Still On Fire and he BRINGS IT LIVE !
One of the many highlights was a college kid from the bay area he surprisingly met on a recent flight who he brought on stage and who helped to close the show. Pavlo and Band Guy didn't disappoint the other night at Montalvo with an almost 2 hour set that rocked the house. Having just seen BB King live a few months ago (who is clearly slowing down in his 80's) - while still an honor and in my mind an important opportunity to see as many of the MASTER's of ROCK n' Roll and Blues/Jazz live - while still in their prime and still performing - Pavlo and Band proved that you can still get better with age - like a fine wine, the man BROUGHT IT that other night. The stories, the history, the sheer mastery of guitar and vocals - reminds us that long before there were the Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Cream, Elvis P and the Beatles......there were the real deal guys like Pavlo and Band Guy! He was all over the venue, walking well into the crowd with a wireless guitar in hand, playing some of his hits, riffing on Clapton and Muddy Waters - and seemingly still having the time of his life up there. He is still in RARE FORM! WISH I HAD BROUGHT MY SON's to this one....next time! Do yourself a favor and catch him live.
